An Unforgettable Wedding Weekend at Boconnoc House

In August 2024, we had the privilege of providing hospitality staff for Melissa and Scott’s two-day wedding celebration at the stunning Boconnoc House.

Boconnoc House is one of our favorite Cornish wedding venues and it is one of those rare finds that offers stunning grounds paired with a rich sense of history and charm. This beautiful estate provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s dream marquee wedding weekend. From the first step into the grand entrance to the final dance, every detail was planned with precision and elegance all thanks to their wonderful wedding coordinator, Fern Godfrey.

A Perfect Beginning

The weekend celebration kicked off with a fun and vibrant pre-wedding party, where guests were welcomed to an atmosphere full of love, bustling with family and friends from near and far. Guests enjoyed delicious Mexican streetfood in The Stable Yard from El Huichol and ice cream straight from Beryl the Bedford from Proper Vintage Cornwall. Drinks flowed freely, with an impressive selection of expertly crafted cocktails, including an Aperol Spritz station and signature margaritas, courtesy of Will from Sauce Cornwall, while our very own Serve Crew ensured that every guest's glass was never empty. The evening was drawn to a close with lively entertainment provided by Future Media, ensuring that the celebration started on the right note!

A Picture-Perfect Celebration

The next day, the wedding itself was an absolute dream. Boconnoc House looked even more stunning than usual, thanks to a handful of wedding decor gurus working their magic to transform the venue into a fairytale setting. The couple exchanged their vows amongst breathtaking floral arrangements by Emma Hewlett, before taking a seat at tables beautifully set by Out of the Ordinary Event Hire.

The ceremony was followed by a reception that brought the newlyweds’ vision to life. Dish Cornwall created a truly indulgent menu that guests are still dreaming about. Highlights included canapés like Piri Piri tiger prawns with lemon, garlic, and chilli oil, traditional fish and chip cones with homemade ketchup and an oyster bar featuring Porthilly oysters added a unique twist to the day! For the main dish, guests were treated to a range of options, from roasted Cornish sirloin of beef paired with Texan pulled beef bonbons to Cornish hake drizzled with lemon and sun-dried tomato oil. The Serve Crew were at hand, circulating these intricately created canapés and champagne on tap, ensuring the couple and their guests were well-fueled for a long night of dancing ahead sound-tracked by The Herringbone Cocktail Club.
